Loans and need-based aid are available to distance students. To be eligible for federal financial aid and loans, a student must be admitted as a degree-seeking student to a specific department and must be enrolled in courses.
Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for federal financial aid and loans unless they are taking undergraduate pre-requisite courses or teaching endorsement courses. Nebraska teachers enrolled in graduate programs may be eligible for special forgivable loans from the Nebraska Department of Education.
For information about financial aid, contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, (402) 472-2030 or (800) 742-8800 ext 2030.
