| Application | |
After deciding on a program, applicants must submit the following to Graduate Studies:
When the online application materials have been received, your file will be reviewed by an admissions evaluator. You will be contacted by Graduate Studies if additional information is needed. In 3 to 5 business days, you will be notified that your file has been forwarded to your academic department for further review. Each department has a Graduate Admissions Committee who decides if a student will be accepted into their program. You should be aware of and understand application deadlines. Your application will be reviewed only after you have submitted all required supplemental application materials. We recommend contacting your department to confirm receipt of materials before the department's stated deadline. As soon as the academic department notifies Graduate Studies of their admission recommendation, admissions evaluators will conduct a final review of your file. If you are admitted into the degree program, Graduate Studies will notify you by email and mail your Certificate of Admission along with other important information for incoming students. * Once you have been admitted, you may be asked for immunization records. As a distance student, you are not required to provide immunization history unless you plan on taking on-campus courses. |

| Advising | |
Along with the admission letter, students will receive the name and contact information of their adviser. Advisers are assigned by individual departments and should be contacted prior to enrolling in the first semester of courses. Students may change their adviser by requesting a change with the department's Graduate Chair. If the Office of Graduate Studies has a record of your adviser on file, the graduate chair will need to send an e-mail to the relevant program specialist detailing the change. Graduate Studies will notify you by email and mail your Certificate of Admission along with other important information for incoming students. During the application process you may be asked for immunization records. As a distance student, you are not required to provide immunization history unless you plan on taking on campus courses. |
