The Degree

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program enables candidates to seek specialization in P-12 educational administration. Offered through the joint University of Nebraska–Lincoln and University of Nebraska at Omaha Doctoral Program, this specialization emphasizes school leadership and prepares scholastic leaders for a role in elementary through secondary school administration.

This degree is available for individuals who want to acquire the professional knowledge and skills needed to become administrative leaders in their schools.

The primary emphasis of educational administration courses is on the principles, processes and practical skills necessary for the leadership, organization and administration of P-12 educational
institutions.

Method of Delivery
Courses are offered online and face-to-face. Students may choose course formats that best suit their needs.

Although online courses do not “meet” at a scheduled time or place, distance students are able to participate in class assignments and interact
in much the same way as traditional, on-campus students.

Students interact with instructors and other students through e-mail, online chats, discussion boards and other methods.
