| The Degree | ||
The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program enables candidates to seek specialization in P-12 educational administration. Offered through the joint University of Nebraska–Lincoln and University of Nebraska at Omaha Doctoral Program, this specialization emphasizes school leadership and prepares scholastic leaders for a role in elementary through secondary school administration. This degree is available for individuals who want to acquire the professional knowledge and skills needed to become administrative leaders in their schools. | Program of Study | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
A minimum of 96 semester hours of student credit is required beyond the bachelor’s degree, which includes at least 12-15 credit hours of research methods. A minimum of 45 semester hours must be completed at the University of Nebraska after filing a program of study. Individual programs will vary. After the doctoral student is accepted into the department, the student and adviser create a program of study based on the student’s needs and goals.
Note: Up to 45 hours of previous graduate credit can be transferred into the doctoral program |
