Logistics is the optimization of facilities, transportation cost, labor and management of the supply chain to make organizations
profitable.
This 12-credit hour graduate certificate program is designed around a framework of problem diagnosis and definition, model formulation, solution methodology development and prototype decision support tools.
Students will have the opportunity to take advantage of the research gained from UNL’s Center for Engineering and Distribution Logistics/RFID Supply Chain Lab and Mid-America Transportation Center.
Methods of Delivery:
Courses are offered online and face-to-face. Students may choose course formats that best suit their needs.
Although online courses do not “meet” at a scheduled time or place, distance students are able to participate in class assignments and interact in much the same way as traditional, on-campus students.
Students interact with instructors and other students through e-mail, online chats, discussion boards and other methods.
Tuition rates are effective as of 7/1/09 and are subject to change in July of each year.

The Logistics Certificate program requires completion of four of the six courses listed below, for a total of 12 credit hours. Students must successfully complete all four courses in order to earn certification.

Note: Using Blackboard with AOL: While you can use AOL as your service provider, you cannot use the AOL Web browser to access Blackboard (My.UNL). Review Process
Graduate Studies performs a preliminary review after receiving your online application, $45 application fee and transcripts. Your file is then forwarded to the Department Graduate Committee for review.
Department Graduate Committee conducts a departmental review only after all materials are received. The Department Graduate Committee notifies Graduate Studies of their admission recommendation.
Graduate Studies conducts a final review. If you are admitted, Graduate Studies will notify you by e-mail and mail.
